group(deprecated)

 areconjugate
determines whether two permutations of a given permutation group are conjugate to each other

 Calling Sequence areconjugate(pg, g1, g2)

Parameters

pg - given permutation group g1, g2 - two elements of pg

Description

 • Important: The group package has been deprecated. Use the superseding command GroupTheory[Conjugator] instead.
 • This function determines whether two elements g1 and g2 of pg are conjugate to each other. If they are, then true is returned; otherwise false is returned.  It is required that g1 and g2 be elements of pg.
 • The command with(group, areconjugate) allows the use of the abbreviated form of this command.
