rtable_dims - return the bounds of each dimension of an rtable
rtable_num_dims - return the number of dimensions of an rtable
Calling Sequence
rtable_dims(A)
rtable_num_dims(A)
Parameters
A
-
rtable object
Description
The rtable_dims(A) function, where A is an Array, Matrix, or Vector, returns a sequence of integer ranges representing the bounds of each dimension of rtable A.
For a 0-dimensional rtable, NULL is returned. In the case that A is an Array, this is equivalent to op(2, A).
For Matrices and Vectors, this function is similar to LinearAlgebra[Dimension].
The rtable_num_dims(A) function, where A is an Array, Matrix, or Vector, returns the number of dimensions of rtable A.
This is equivalent to nops([rtable_dims(A)]).
Thread Safety
The rtable_num_dims command is thread-safe as of Maple 15.
For more information on thread safety, see index/threadsafe.
Examples
For a Matrix, the rtable_dims command returns the row bounds and then the column bounds.
